It's with the new Ford Super Duty® F-250 and F-350 pickups, the big rigs of choice among construction workers, tradespeople, and enthusiasts of serious toys, that your ability to take on some of the largest loads takes off. Opt for one of two engines, each offering capabilities depending on build.

• First, in the new F-250, 385-horsepower, a 6.2-liter Gas V8. This beast can handle carrying up to 13,000 pounds, or up to 15,700 when fifth-wheel/gooseneck towing with a High-Capacity Trailer Tow Package. In the new F-350, that capacity rockets up to 16,700 pounds, or around 16,600 when going fifth-wheel or gooseneck. These capacities are more than enough for the horse trailer to define an enjoyable weekend of riding.
• Next, F-250 offers an available 450-horsepower, 6.7-liter Power Stroke® V8 Turbo Diesel, with the credentials to pull up to 14,000 pounds, or up to 18,500 with said package. F-350 brings those numbers up to 18,000, 27,500 when fifth-wheel towing, and 32,000 when gooseneck towing. In all, that means taking along a load as sizable as a powerboat or full-size camper just became easier than ever.
